CPD Requirements
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) enables you to future-proof your career through a program of life-long learning. Like many professionals, RTOCPI certified members are required to complete CPD as a condition of their certification.
What is CPD?
CPD is a program of learning that enables members to develop their skills and knowledge in a rapidly changing profession, ensuring that RTOCPI members remain up-to-date with the latest legislation, guidance, standards and best practice throughout their careers.
How much CPD is required?
To meet our CPD requirements you must complete a combination of verifiable and non-verifiable CPD each year, as specified for your certification type – refer to Certification Requirements below.
Verifiable CPD should be relevant to your work, specific to your role and there should be evidence that you have completed the course of learning. This may include accredited courses of study, attendance at RTO PD Hub workshops or e-learning or other PD workshops approved by RTOCPI.
Non-verifiable CPD would include general learning which is difficult to evidence, such as reading articles, newsletters, etc or self study.
Declaring your CPD
Members must record and declare their CPD to RTOCPI on an annual basis, to maintain currency of their certification.
